Bill, an Attorney at Law in solo practice, is past president and Founder of the Friends of the C&TSRR, Inc. and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Historical Society of New Mexico, Inc. Bill majored in history as an undergraduate at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and has a law degree from Indiana University. In 1981, he started a new volunteer program on the C&TS and the following year was elected to the Historical Society of New Mexico board. From that position, he launched the volunteers, initially under the auspices of the Historical Society Railroad Committee. In 1988, Bill incorporated the FRIENDS. He has been active on the Board, work sessions and many related activities. Bill is also an ordained Deacon, actively serving as Assistant Pastor at Wellspring Anglican Church of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Bill’s wife, Norma, and all four of his children have also volunteered on the Railroad.
